This is an awesome Rainmeter skin perfect for people just getting started with Rainmeter. Great work!

The problem with all the textual icons is, that although some icon-creators put more than 200 of them in a package, you still have some programs that's not in there.

And let's face it: the icons are just text. So, why not create it in Rainmeter?
But there was one problem:
Rainmeter doesn't offer the possibility to have as many shortcuts as you want. There's always some kind of limit.

So, we got the idea to make a program that actually creates Rainmeter-skins, to give the user the possibility to have an totally unlimited amount of shortcuts.

As we use Rainmeter, we also put in some Measure-like skins for CPU, RAM and all that stuff, as it kinda makes sense.

Then we just added some configure-skin to make sure everyone can use Vark without editing some .ini first and put in neat stuff like a transparent bar (which automatically resizes if you change the font-size via the configure-skin, btw) and the great RainRBG program from JSMorley and GetWeatherCode by poiru, so it's even more easy to get this things done.

Vark may look like a simple skin, but it's a lot of work in detail. And btw: I hope the preview doesn't look that bad. Go check out my beach-shot and you'll see how it looks on a real desk :)

The config tool does all the job for you - providing an unlimited amount of shortcuts with no need to edit any .ini files.

Vark also comes with Measures for almost anything, including Weather, Time, CPU and a lot more.

To download, simply click the download button on the right hand side of this page.

Note that you need to have the latest version of Rainmeter to run this skin which can be found here [link]

I was only able to create 10 shortcuts. But now when i try to create a new one, it says "request completed" and nothing shows...so is there a limit..or is there something i should know? Mind you, im kinda new at this..

well, if its failing for you try creating them manually.
There isn't supposed to be a limit. Check that they aren't being hidden or something.

Great theme and exactly what I was looking for.  My only problem is that 99% of the time it doesn't create a shortcut.  I have to repeatedly do the steps for it to finally show, and out of all the ones I've tried I've only had one success so far (doing the exact same thing over and over).

unfortunately this skin was built at a time when features in rainmeter were just basic, so we had to work with what we had at that time. However I appreciate that you liked this skin and found it useful :)

Oops, never mind.  I got it figured out.  Was silliness on my part.

This is freaking awesome! Making shortcuts is so easy now! Thank you so much for this!!!

One thing, the Celsius and Fahrenheit buttons are switched~

This is really great! Something tho, I'm not sure if it's me, normal behavior of the skin or something's wrong. When I go to create a skin for a shortcut I "Browse File" to the program I want a shortcut for and select it. When I "Create Dock" a folder called Shortcuts is created in the same folder as the program I chose. So when I hit refresh and "Click HERE" to open it nothing happens. Took me a while to figure out what was wrong LOL

I 'think' this might have something to do with the fact I install Rainmeter using the Portable option.

Kudos! Great Skin!

Never mind- hate to clog up your comments feed, but the shortcut turned up in the drive itself instead of the rainmeter skins folder. Thought you might wanna know. Thanks anyway!
