This is an awesome Rainmeter skin perfect for people just getting started with Rainmeter. Great work!

Available Plugins:

~theumad and ~toastbrotpascal present Vark

The problem with all the textual icons is, that although some icon-creators put more than 200 of them in a package, you still have some programs that's not in there.

And let's face it: the icons are just text. So, why not create it in Rainmeter?
But there was one problem:
Rainmeter doesn't offer the possibility to have as many shortcuts as you want. There's always some kind of limit.

So, we got the idea to make a program that actually creates Rainmeter-skins, to give the user the possibility to have an totally unlimited amount of shortcuts.

As we use Rainmeter, we also put in some Measure-like skins for CPU, RAM and all that stuff, as it kinda makes sense.

Then we just added some configure-skin to make sure everyone can use Vark without editing some .ini first and put in neat stuff like a transparent bar (which automatically resizes if you change the font-size via the configure-skin, btw) and the great RainRBG program from JSMorley and GetWeatherCode by poiru, so it's even more easy to get this things done.

Vark may look like a simple skin, but it's a lot of work in detail. And btw: I hope the preview doesn't look that bad. Go check out my beach-shot and you'll see how it looks on a real desk :)

The config tool does all the job for you - providing an unlimited amount of shortcuts with no need to edit any .ini files.

Vark also comes with Measures for almost anything, including Weather, Time, CPU and a lot more.

To download, simply click the download button on the right hand side of this page.

Note that you need to have the latest version of Rainmeter to run this skin which can be found here [link]

Never mind- hate to clog up your comments feed, but the shortcut turned up in the drive itself instead of the rainmeter skins folder. Thought you might wanna know. Thanks anyway!

Hey Theumad! Thanks for creating my favorite rainmeter skin of all time.
But I have a quick tech support question, for some reason I can't figure out how to add a second hard drive icon. I have the C: skin up, and when I try to use the configurator and add a second one, it doesn't show up on any list or anything even after I restart rainmeter and refresh a couple hundred times. Anything you'd think I'm doing wrong?

Theumad - I'm running a 64bit, Windows 8 OS Ultrabook and have been unable to resize the fonts or change the bar.ini color via the configure.ini. Are there limitations under this configuaration? Any suggestions?

Thank You

i guess your resolution is very low. try changing the font size from the skin's code

Anyone know why Bar.ini won't load on the latest release of the 2.5 Beta?

hey, im totally in love with your work!

is there anyway for me to add a background for each icon created and it highlights when you hover over it?

If you could instruct me on how to do it, i can try it myself.

Kind Regards in advance,
Sim

it certainly can be done however you need to code it yourself. You can get help on how to do this at rainmeter.net :)

I hope this helps and sorry I couldn't help you however I currently don't have the time to teach Rainmeter right now. Hope you understand.

Theumad.
